Fish Shawarma

We absolutely love Fish Shawarma; it’s an irresistible and perfect fusion of tender fish combined with a vibrant mix of seasoned fresh vegetables. Our fish is carefully marinated with a unique and flavourful blend of aromatic spices that tantalize the taste buds. The beautiful yellowy glow from the turmeric adds a splash of color, making it as visually appealing as it is delicious. All of this goodness is fried to absolute perfection to enhance its taste. Finally, it’s generously scooped into a warm, soft flatbread that truly feels like heaven in every bite!

Ingredients (Serves 2)

  • 1 lb. skinless fish fillets, cubed or Squid works really well

  • 1 onion, finely sliced 

  • 4 tbsp. oil

  • 1 tbsp of Tahini
  • 1 tsp. sea salt and Ground Black Pepper

  • 2 garlic cloves, sliced  

  • 1 tbsp. Paprika

  • ½ tsp. ground coriander

  • ½ tsp. turmeric

  • ½ tsp Cumin

Instructions

  • Heat the oil and chop the onion in half then finely.

  • Fry gently for 10 minutes stirring occasionally.

  • Chop the garlic, add all of the spices and fry for 2 more minutes. 
  • Add the fish and keep stirring till it’s cooked, for about 10-15 minutes.

  • Mix in one tbsp of tahini and season to taste.

  • Serve with warm slightly toasted flat bread
